About Me

Profile photo

Hi, I'm Caleb (he/him)! I'm a photographer, filmmaker, and all-around tinkerer based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My work combines technical problem-solving with creative communication, helping turn ideas into visuals. I thrive when tackling challenges with precision and creativity.

I've worked on a variety of projects, which you can see documented on this website. My professional experience spans industries and continents, with cross-functional collaboration in the U.S., Belgium, Brazil, and India.

Additionally, I enjoy DIY engineering projects that assist my photography. Check out my engineering page to to see a solid state relay power a soup heater to keep a water bath within ±1 Deg C or a ripped apart Kodak slide projector converted into a film slide digitizer that produces higher fidelity images than any other reasonable options available, automated to do eighty slides at a time. Additionally, you can see my GitHub page.

Community Involvement

Beyond my professional work, I organize and participate in my local community. I currently serve as the Secretary of the Board for The Common Wheel, a nonprofit bike shop that provides youth and adult programming while promoting cycling in Lancaster. I'm also the Vice Curator of the Global Shapers Lancaster Hub, a group of young leaders addressing local needs through focused community projects. One current volunteer effort is Ride, Roll, Stroll Lancaster, a project aimed at improving active transportation in our city. I volunteer as a Photo Jam Facilitator.

Personal Life

At home, I live with my partner, Megan, our two orange cats, and an English Setter. When I'm not working on a project, you'll find me reading some old lit or classic science fiction. I practice photography daily as a way to connect with the world and tell stories through a timeless medium.

Whether you're looking for a technical solution, creative collaboration, or a mix of both, I'd love to help bring your ideas to life. Let's build something great together!
